At the ITS Service Desk, I've built up strong collaboration and communication skills, and have gained experience with a slew of new tools and technical concepts. As my first formal IT position, it's increased my interest in the industry, especially in jobs that allow me to directly make others' lives easier.
- Provided clearly-communicated technical support and customer service for UCSD students, staff, affiliates, and faculty, ensuring timely resolution of issues and high customer satisfaction
- Utilized Cisco Catalyst Center, Infoblox, NetMRI, and Splunk to diagnose wired and wireless network issues ensuring reliability and quick support for campus-wide networks
- Led and trained student technicians in a shift manager role, improving efficiency and service quality
- Collaborated with Service Desk leadership to improve processes and documentation, streamlining operations and enhancing service delivery
- Built internal performance tracking tools using external APIs, MySQL, Express, React.js, Semantic UI, and Docker, documenting code and tracking progress using Atlassian tools.

At TeachAids, I've worked on several different projects in a volunteer capacity, in teams of all different sizes. It's been an honor to be able to continue working with them and take on more of a leading role in executing the migration of their website.
- Planned and executed the migration of a large WordPress site with approximately 1000 monthly users and over 20 custom pages, focusing on long-term customizability to improve the experience of contributors
- Utilized React.js, Sass, Basscss, and Material UI to re-implement an existing design in an accessible and responsive format, enhancing user experience
- Automated staging and production deployments to Firebase via GitHub Actions
- Developed a custom static site generation plugin for Vite, streamlining development and builds
- Collaborated with a team of over 20 college students and industry professionals to implement the UIs for the CrashCourse and CoviDB sites
- Maintained and documented an automated content collection and AI-powered article summarization system using Python and Github actions, allowing for easy quering of over 5,000 academic articles
UCSD Power Transformation Lab: San Diego, CA

Working at the Power Transformation Lab taught me how to work in close collaboration with others to create a fantastic-looking website while minimizing the interruptions to those currently creating content for the site. It was my first time working with static site generation, one of my favorite technologies.
- Collaborated with Professor Michael Davidson and a graphic designer to rebuild pwrlab.org into a modern, mobile friendly, and highly accessible website.
- Used complex features of Jekyll and Liquid to make the site easily modifiable and extensible, including ensuring seamless compatibility with content written for the previous iteration
- Documented the custom features of the new site, enabling Professor Davidson to modify content as needed
